Double Bronze at the FCL Foil Open
In the Senior Men's Foil event, Oliver Strange won bronze. He went all up in the poules. Seeded second, he had a bye through the L128, then defeated Lance Wu, James Page, Joseph Blair and Hing Wing Francis Wong to make the medal rounds. Here he lost against Alberto Mascioli to take home bronze.
In the Senior Women's Foil event, Eleanor Knox won the bronze medal! She had a clean sweep in her poule, winning all six fights. Seeded second, Eleanor had a bye through the L32, then defeated Elizabeth Fraser and Ally Lui to make the medal rounds. She lost to Sophie Tsang to take bronze.

St Benedict’s LPJS - Sabre
Sophia Chiesa won gold in the U12 Women's Sabre. She had a stellar performance in the poules, winning all twelve fights across two rounds. As a result, Sophia had a bye to the L4, where she beat Mya Sutherland. She defeated Irina Sklara with a score 10-5 in the finals to take the gold medal.
In the U14 Men's Sabre, Bijan Muganwa won the bronze medal. Bijan won all eight of his fights in the poules. Seeded second, Bijan had a bye to the L8. He defeated Austin Young to make the semi-finals. He then lost to Bennett Joseph.

Gold and Silver at the Leon Paul Cadet BRC Epee
In the Cadet Women's Epee, Emma Mitzova took home gold! Across the first two poules, Emma went 7V2D. This was enough to secure her promotion as one of the 16 best fencers to a third poule round, which would seed the main competition. Here she went 6V1D, scoring her number one seed going into the DEs. She defeated Isabella D'Abbraccio and Katy Hawthorne to make the final. She won the final against Daisy Hassell with a score of 15-10 to take gold.
Zina Suresh won silver in the plate competition. She went 4V5D across the two poules. She did not advance to the main competition. In the Plate competition, she defeated Maisy Johnston, Kia Wright and Sophia Harper to make the semi-finals. In the semi-finals she beat Hiba Rochdi before losing against Ffion Shute in the finals.
In the Cadet Men's Epee, Stanley Leech won silver. The boys also had two rounds of poules before the top 16 fencers were promoted to a final round of poules, eight of whom would proceed to the main tableau. Five Salle Paul fencers were promoted to the third and final poule on the basis of their stellar poule results. Here Stanley went 5V2D, which was enough to make the main DE tableau. As third seed, Stanley defeated club mate, Zehen, and Jack Beckley to make the final. He lost in the final to Oghenegaren Esiovwa-Thompson to take home silver.
Congratulations to Emma for her gold medal, to Stanley for his silver and to Zina for her silver in the Plate competition. Thank you to Sam and Roman for supporting our fencers throughout the day.

Oscar Casado Robinson was our only representative in the competition, competing in U17 Men's Epee.
In the poules, Oscar went 4V4D, giving him fourth seed. He had a bye to the semi-finals and then lost to Jake Bowden.

LPJS Fighting Fit - Foil
Edmund Dawson won silver in the U10 Men's Foil. He won all five of his first round matches. Seeded first, he had a bye through the L32, before a string of victories against Aidan Chan, Gus Cheng and Mario Banaie to make the final. He lost against George Robinson in the gold medal match.

In the U17 event, Tudor Prutica won the bronze medal. He went 5V1D. He defeated Finley O'Shea and Magnus Bradbury, before losing to Paco Lui in the semi-finals.
