Competition Support
Salle Paul Coaching Support
To help support Salle Paul fencers at competitions, Salle Paul will be sending coaches to selected domestic competitions. These competitions have been carefully chosen by the club coaches and management team for a variety of reasons. The list of competitions is displayed below. If you would like to add an event to the list, please speak to the coaching team or club staff to discuss options.
For events requiring no overnight stay by the coach, a competition coaching fee of £15 will be payable by a fencer who enters the competition representing Salle Paul. For events that require one overnight stay by the coach, a fee of £45 will be payable by a fencer who enters the competition representing Salle Paul. If a fencer is fencing on two consecutive days, at a competition that requires an overnight stay by the coach, a fee of £60 will be payable by a fencer who enters the competition representing Salle Paul. These payments will be taken after the competition via the fencer’s Salle Paul account.
Salle Paul will try to always send a coach to nominated international competition as this is considered to be a performance requirement. The direct cost of coaching at international events will be borne by the club, with the expenses divided between the attending Salle Paul fencers, there is no opt-out of this for Salle Paul fencers attending the competition.
If the cost of competition coaching is prohibitive, you can contact the club secretary or club director in confidence to discuss the matter.
