We wish you all a very happy holiday season, and look forward to seeing you all in the new year.

Before we celebrate the winter holidays, we have some news worthy of celebration from the weekend. Find out below.

Bangkok Foil Junior World Cup

Salle Paul has another World Cup medallist!

Adding to Salle Paul's list of World Cup medalists, Oliver Strange was in Bangkok over the weekend, competing in both the individual and team event of the Junior World Cup.

Four wins and two losses in the individual placed him 42nd after poules. He cruised through the L128, and toughed out a 15-13 victory against Khalifa of Qatar. He defeated 10th seed Semeneev of Uzbekistan, before losing in the L16 by Han of Korea.

In the team event, Great Britain defeated Chinese Taipei and Hong Kong in quick succession. A 43-45 loss against France had them fence off for third place against Uzbekistan. The British junior team took the lead early in the bronze medal match and never let it go, claiming a bronze medal at the World Cup.

After a stellar performance in Bangkok, Oliver Strange is ranked fourth on the junior rankings. He is primed for a spot at Junior European Championships in February.
