EUROPEAN CADET CHAMPIONSHIPS

Congratulations to Ed Scott Payne, who made the top 8 to finish 7th! Ed won both his L32 and L16 matches with nail-biting 15-14 finishes before being defeated 15-11 in a close match against Iino Heurlin-Vazquez of France in the table of 8. Florin Mirica finished 46th.


For the women, Isabella Summers placed 77th after a match against Polina Kuleshova of Ukraine.

ST MAUR VETERANS

Great result for Sophie Saudo at the St Maur veterans event in Paris this weekend, winning all her pool fights then a good series of DE wins before narrowly losing in the semi final to the overall winner. 
Several other of our members taking part in the men’s and women’s events, and our men also making up the majority of the two GBR teams the following day.


EFC: XIII WITOLD WOYDA’S FOIL - WARSAW, POLAND

Alex Culkin placed 91st after a close fight in the tableau of 128 with 38th seed Patrick Gawenda of Poland, ending 15-12. Great effort Alex!


Congratulations to Oliver Strange for receiving the Susan Halter Elite Athlete Award from Maccabi GB's Head of Sport and Community Partnerships Neil Taylor. Oliver won multiple medals at the European Maccabi Games in Budapest (3 golds, 1 silver and 1 bronze).
