HUGE MEDAL HAUL FOR SALLE PAUL
BYC QUALIFIERS
Well done to all the Salle Paul fencers who fenced in the BYC Qualifiers this weekend! We had a great result with five young athletes qualifying. Fiona Li (U12 Girls) and Joelle Chow (U14 Girls Champion) will go on to represent the Southern region. Representing the Eastern region we have Nathalie Culkin (U14 Girls Silver), Amelia Price (U16 Girls Champion) and Alex Culkin (U16 Boys Champion). Bruno Winter placed 10th in the Eastern region heats after a tough match with Rory Myatt.
LONDON REGION NOVICE & INTERMEDIATES
An amazing job by our novices, bringing back four medals including one gold! Jeremy Baker won men's epee, defeating Philip Jordan to take the spot at the top of the podium. George Dunmow won bronze in the novice epee category! Philip has joined our club this week so the Salle Paul team would like to congratulate him on his silver medal and welcome him to the club!
For foil, Aya Al-Mohsin and Alessandro Vecchi Marsh both won bronze in there first ever competitions. Aya entered as a novice but but had to fence in the intermediate category, so well done to her in particular for a great performance in a tougher competition than she was expecting!

Congratulations to Yaqub Wagdi who won gold this weekend, we can see he's very happy with a brand new trophy to add to the collection!
