MILNER-BARRY & MILLER-HALLET CUPS

We had an amazing turnout this weekend, with 20 fencers for the men's and 7 in the women's competition!

Will Sturgeon fought hard against Calum Johnston in the quarter final, winning 15-14 to earn his place on the podium and went home with bronze!

At the Milner-Barry Eleanor Taylor (5th), Jessica Gundry (7th) and Francesca Summers (8th) led the way for Leon Paul Epee at the Milner-Barry. Francesca had a tough route to the quarter finals, but was able to eliminate the number one seed, winning 15-14 after making a great comeback.

LPJS CAMDEN

Plenty of our fencers represented Salle Paul on the podium this weekend. Yaqub Wagdi won silver in the Boys U11, Nathalie Culkin earnt her bronze medal in the U13 girls. Finally, in U15 girls, Salle Paul dominated the podium with a 1,2,3 finish by Jing Zhao (1st), Ruby Roberts (2nd) and Evie Bullman (3rd).

EU CADET CIRCUIT, BUDAPEST

Our fencers are off to a strong start this season in Budapest with Keni. Hannah Lebor was our best performing fencer, winning all her poule fights. In the 64 she had a nail-biting fight, which ended 15-14 and saw her place 37th, an excellent result in a competition with almost 300 fencers! Isabella Summers placed 48th and Lauren Ryder-Garcia was 268th. For the boys, Ed Scott Payne made the last 64, finishing 43rd, and Nicholas Grimshaw came 279th. (Full results here)

VETERAN WINTON CUP

Mariette Mason and Nicola Broad-Barltlett were part of the winning team for the South East region at the Veteran Winton Cup. They also won the epee trophy, and were undefeated over 9 matches! (Full results here)
