Leon Paul Cadet Foil BRC

Aiden Robinson won gold! He won all his poule matches in both the rounds of poules, which gave him a bye to the L64. He then defeated William Anderson in L32, George Qin in L16, and Oscar Afseth in L8. In the semi-finals he competed against Arthur O'Donnell and defeated him by 15-4 to his place in the finals. In the final round, he went up against Dominik Juras and defeated him 15-13, and won the competition. Oskar Picton Tully won a bronze medal! He won all his poule matches, which gave him a bye to the L64. In L32, he defeated Benjamin Luis by 15-8. In L16, he defeated Raphael Bertrand 15-12. In L8, he defeated Ethan Li, and made his way to the semi-finals. In the semi-finals, he was defeated by Dominik Juras and took bronze. Tudor Prutica scored 5V3D in the two round of poules and made it to the DE rounds. In L64, he defeated Jimni Adesanya but was defeated by Jagroop Shergill in the following round. Benjamin Luis went 3V5D. In L64, he defeated Hector Borthwick 15-6. In L32, he lost to clubmate Oskar Picton Tully 15-8 and was eliminated from the competition. Alexander Kronabetter went 3V5D, then  defeated Pok Man Brandan Young in L64. In L32, he was went up against Arthur O'Donnell and was eliminated. Felix Berndorfer scored 2V6D in the two round of poules. In L64, he was defeated by Seth Lernau-Callan and did not make it further into the competition.

Udine Sabre FFE

Eiger Swinscow and Nina Lewis participated in the team tournament as a part of Team GBR. Both the men's and women's team made it to the finals against team Italy, but both lost to come away with silver.

Cambridge Winter Open

Kseniya Kushtan won gold! After her bye through L64, she defeated Clare Hill, Brogan Fitzimmons, Margarette Oniye, and Eleanor Taylor to make her way into the finals. She fenced against Daria Yousofian-Kenari in the finals and defeated her 15-13 to secure first place! Eleanor Taylor also had a bye through L64. In L32, she defeated Megan Reddin. In L16, She won against Melinda Lipton 15-6. In her L8, she defeated teammate Emma Mitzova to make the semi-finals. Unfortunately, she was eliminated by other teammate Kseniya Kushtan in the semi-finals and took bronze. Emma Mitzova had a bye through L64. She then defeated Paula Sullivan and Heather Clarke before being eliminated by Eleanor Taylor in L8. After her bye through L64, Xanthe Trim was eliminated by Margarette Oniye in her first DE.

Guildford Veterans International

Georgina Usher won gold in the Vet-50 epee! She won all her poule matches and had a bye through L32. She defeated Florence Pagny, Ragnhild Skald and made her way into the semi-final round. In the semi-final she defeated Pia Bjork by 9-6. In the finals, she defeated Beata Simoka 10-1 and secured first place!

Hugh Kernohan won bronze! He went 2V2D then rallied in the DE rounds. He defeated Michael Robinson, Neal Mallet, Hans Klutz and Will Miller. In the semi-finals he lost to Herve Le Barbier and secured a bronze medal. Jeremy Baker 3V1D. In L64, he dfefeated Paul Williams by 10-5. In L32, he lost to Marc Sequin and was eliminated. Simon Pink scored 3V2D. In L64, he defeated teammate Simon Brock 10-7 but was eliminated by Boris Drahusak in L32. Simon Brock scored 1V3D in the round of poule then was defeated by Simon Pink in his first DE. 

Graham Paul won a bronze in the Vet-70 sabre! He went 2V3D in the mixed age group poule. In the tableau, he defeated Beri Goldbart in L8, then lost to Paul Lowen in the semi-finals 10-2, and took bronze. 

Graham Paul won bronze in the Vet-70 foil as well! He went 5V1D in mixed age groups poules, and received a bye through L16. He then defeated Carl Morris and qualified for the semi-finals. In the semis, he was defeated by Richard Cohen and secured a third place.

Congratulations to Georgina Usher for her gold medal, Hugh for his bronze medal, and Graham for his two bronze medals.

Jessica Beechey won a bronze medal!  Jess went 7V1D in poules, and had a bye through the L32. In L16, they defeated Alexandra Salas, then won against Gloriosa Sung to make it to the semi-finals where they lost to Indigo Zaffino.

Ashley Crees won gold! He went 6V2D in two round of poules which gave him a bye through the L64. In L32, he defeated he defeated Ethan Mo, 15-9. In the next round, L16, we defeated Finn Kenn 15-13 and made it to the semi-finals. In the semi-final round he defeated clubmate Tudor Prutica 15-11 and made it to the finals. In the finals, he competed against Mohammed Belbouab and defeated him 15-12 to secured the first place and a gold medal! Tudor Prutica went 5V4D in the two round of poules and had a bye through the L64. He defeated Moyo Adesanya, Ethan Dakin by 15-13 and Henry Stirling to secure a place in the semi-finals. Unfortunately, he was defeated by teammate Ashley Crees in the semi-final round and took home bronze. Yaqub Wagdi went 7V2D in the round of poules and had a bye through the L64. In L32, he defeated Antonio De Vivo then teammate Aiden Robinson in the L16. He was then eliminated by Mohammed Belbouab in the L8. Aiden Robinson went 7V2D and also had a bye through the L64. In L32, he defeated Hong Yiu Chan , but then drew teammate Yaqub Wagdi and was eliminated, 11-15.

Switzerland Junior World Cup 

Tristan Lumineau won bronze! He went 5V1D in the round of poules, and had a bye through the L256. In L128, he defeated Matthew Buelau 15-12. in the following round, he also defeated Jakob Richelieu de 15-12. In L32, he went against Nolan Wingerter and defeated him 15-13. In the following rounds he defeated Georgiy Tinnikov and Kirill Prokhodov and made it to the semi-finals. In the semi-finals, he fenced against Samuel imrek and lost, securing a third position.

William Sturgeon won silver! He went 4V1D in the round of poules, and had a bye through the L64. In L32, he defeated Samuel Luckman 15-11. He then defeated William Ferguson in the following round, and Charles Haines in the L8. In the semi-finals he competed against Benjamin Andrews and defeated him 15-14 to make his way into the finals. In the final round, he was defeated by William East, and secured a second place finish. Aurelio Calipa won bronze! He won all his poule matches and had a bye through the L64. In L32, he defeated Arthur Giboin 15-7. In the following round, he went up against Bowen Run and defeated him. In L8, he defeated Antonie Belot. In the semi-finals he lost to Will East and secured a third place. Lok Kiu Locke Tsang went 5V1D in the round of poules, and had a bye through the L64. In the following round, he defeated Enrik Rainer Vandieken 15-11. In L16, he fenced against Thomas Skingle and won. In L8, he was defeated by Benjamin Andrews. William Ferguson won all his poule matches and had a bye through the L64. In L32, he defeated Parker Lane 15-8. In the next round, he lost to clubmate William Sturgeon. Satyadev Gunput went 4V2D in the round of poules, and had a bye through the L64. In L32, he defeated Rudi Bruijn Yard 15-7, but was defeated by William East in the L16. Giuseppe Cotugno went 3V3D in the round of poules. In L64, he lost to Arthur Giboin. Simon Brock went 1V5D in the round of poules and did not make it to the main tableau.

Brugge Vets Epee

Simon Pink and Jeremy Baker travelled to Brugge for The Third Brugge Veterans Cup. 
In the provisional pool round including all age categories, Jeremy was 3up 2down, Simon went 2up 3down. The second round of pools combined 60 and 70+. Jeremy went 2up 2down. Simon was 2up 3down. 

In L16 Jeremy lost a tight match to Belgium’s Alex Borstlap 6/5 (who ended up with a bronze). Simon won his L16 match against John Hyde 10/7 and then beat Michel Deschamps of Belgium 10/8 in L8. In the semi final Simon won a very close match 10/9 on the final hit against Will Miller after coming from 9/8 down. The final matched Simon against Belgium’s Oliver Majerus. The match was nip and tuck all the way with never than one point separating Oliver and Simon. In the end it went down to the wire and Oliver scored the winning hit from 9/9.

Eastern Region BYC Qualifiers

James Bao won gold! He won all his fights in poules. In the semi-finals he fenced against William Mollison and defeated him 12-5, before defeating Thomas Fairhurst in the finals and securing first place. 

Casey Jones went 6V2D in the round of poules and had a bye through the L16. He defeated Jack Travers in L8 and made it to the semi-finals where he defeated Caleb Mathews. In the finals, he lost to Joshua Hunter securing a second position. 

Congratulations to James Bao for winning gold and Casey Jones for his silver, and their respective qualifications to the BYCs.
