European Veterans Championships

Georgina Usher: European Champion

Nine veterans from Salle Paul travelled to Thionville, France in order to compete for the European Champion title. 
Our congratulations to Hugh Kernohan for his bronze medal in Vet-3 men's epee, and Graham Paul for his silver medal in Vet-4 men's foil

IAPS Fencing Championships

Arthur O'Donnell fenced in U13 boys foil event at the annual IAPS fencing championships. He went 11/1 in the rounds of poules, and was ranked first in the tableau. He had a bye through the incomplete L64, then comfortably won his matches up to the final. He narrowly lost the final to Sussex House fencer Bertrand, 9-10, and claimed silver.

Youth Series Liverpool

Tudor Prutica competed in the Youth Series in Liverpool on Sunday. 
He was seeded second after dropping two fights across two rounds of poules. He had a bye through the L16. His L8 match was a 15-12 victory against Qin of Sutton Coldfield; he lost his semi-final against van de Weyer of Cambridge Sword, 9-11. 
Congratulations to Tudor for his bronze medal.

West of England Open

Aurelio Calipa was the sole fencer representing Salle Paul at the West of England Open in Bristol. He went 5/1 in poules, and was ranked 9th in the tableau. He had a bye through the incomplete L64, then defeated Dishman of Bath Sword club 15-1 in the L32. He was then eliminated in the L16, 12-15 by Brown of Pentathlon GB.
