Salle Paul’s Cadets, Isabella Gill and Brij Gautam, competed in the Cadet and Junior European Championships in Plovdiv, with Isabella coming 7th and Brij 32st in their respective competitions. Charlotte Macey retains London Region U14 title

Salle Paul had a long and very rewarding day at the London Regional Championships on Saturday 4th March 2017 with Charlotte Macey (right) retaining her U14 London Region title, and Amelia Middleton (left) winning the Silver – both qualified to compete for London at the British Youth Championships in Sheffield in May. Oliver and Charlotte compete in Cadet Winton 2016

Well done London Region for an excellent 5th placing at this weekend's Cadet Winton at Millfield. Oliver Strange competed in the boys foil team which came 3rd overall – excellent result for a young team; and Charlotte Macey was in the girls’ foil team. The winners in girls foil, Eastern Region, were only beaten by our London girls. North West region came first overall, followed by East Midlands. This excellent and unique team event ...

Rio fencer, Laurence Halsted, visits

Laurence Halsted spent the evening at Salle Paul before Christmas to present our Winter Club Competition Champions with their prizes: Hassan Sachee, Best U15; Isabella Gill, Best Girl Cadet; Patrick Livingstone, Best Men's Novice; Gerry Brosnan, Best Men's Veteran. Laurence also presented prizes to all our Spartans for their Blue and Green MiniFence awards.

Congratulations to our new Salle Paul Winter Club Champion 2016, Alessandro Gill. Ale beat former Club Champion, Brij Gautam, into second place and Bronze medals went to Michael Chew and our Spanish visitor member, Ari Castro. Ale joins former winners of the Salle Paul Championships, GB Olympic fencers Laurence Halsted and Richard Kruse.

LPJS FCL, London Region Team Gold and Silver and Cabries Cadets 2016

The weekend of 26th/27th November 2016 was a busy one for Salle Paul fencers: we had 15 of our young fencers competing at the LPJS FCL at Rickmansworth, 10 of our slightly older fencers competing at the London Region Mixed Team Championships, and four of our Cadets (U17) competing in the French International at Cabries.
