Maciej directs the overall development of the club and our fencers. He is also the Lead Talent Coach for the GB National Senior Foil Squad preparing our foil fencers for Rio and future Olympic Games. Polish-born Maciej is from Poznan. He is a key member of the British Fencing World Class Performance Programme. Maciej is a registered coach with British Fencing.
Former member of the Cuban National Foil Team, Cuban Junior Under 20 Champion and Central American Champion, Leo moved to London in 2002. He has been a Senior Foil Coach at Salle Paul since 2010. Leo is a registered coach with British Fencing
Originally from the Ukraine, Irina is Salle Paul’s Junior Club coach for novice and beginner children aged 8-12. Irina is a registered coach with British Fencing
British Fencing’s Development Coach of the Year 2016, Anthony Conyard has competed for Great Britain Veterans in World Championships (over 50) and for England at the Veterans Commonwealth Games and is a double gold medallist. Anthony is Head Coach for Salle Paul’s Spartan fencers (aged 5-7). He also works alongside Leo Suarez to help develop our Junior Club competition fencers and provides coaching support for Salle Paul fencers at competitions. Anthony is a qualified foil coach and registered with British Academy of Fencing.
Justyna Osmańska (formerly Anuszewska) has been a member of the Polish Olympic Team since 2007 and trains in London with her coach, Adam Kaszubowski. She has competed at World Championships and European Championships both as an individual and as a member of the Polish team. Justyna has a Bachelor’s and a Master’s Degree in Physical Education with a Major in Personal Training. Her Master’s thesis was to examine the effects of a 6-week plyometric and locomotion speed training for a group of fencers. She is a qualified Fencing Instructor and uses her expertise in plyometric and locomotion speed training to help improve the fitness of Salle Paul fencers.
