Camden LPJS – great medal tally for Salle Paul fencers

Posted on October 7, 2017

Great results at the weekend of 7/8 October 2017 from our fencers competing at the LPJS Camden with Shalang Kolas winning GOLD in U13, Silvers to Oliver Strange in U15, and to Nathalie Culkin in U11 and Ashley Crees winning Bronze in U9.

This is always a tough event with large numbers of competitors so medals and top 8 placings are particularly good results. Big thanks to our Salle Paul coaches, Tony Conyard and Leo Suarez for their coaching support across the two days.

And also in U9, well done to Yaqub Wagdi 5th; Felix Bidwell 10th and Alex Kronabetter 18th.

In U11 Rui Zhao was 7th; George Keogh 11th; Faraday Walsh 17th; Leroy Kronabetter 27th; Noah Gilbert-Heitler 33rd; and young Ashley Crees who is U9 also entered U11 and came 21st.

In U15 Oliver Strange met Dawood Khan in the last 8.

In U13 Alex Culkin was 7th; Bruno Winter (member of Salle Paul but competing under PDFA) was 13th; Ali Al-Mohsin 14th and Michael Porat 39th – all good results in a very large age group.

Also, in the girls events:

U15, Amelia Middleton was 6th;

in U9 Eliana Gilbert-Heitler was 7th with

Jing Zhao 8th in the U13 Girls.
